Big Bend National Park
TEXAS

Join us for the Wild Creative Spring Meetup in Big Bend National Park, where vast desert landscapes, rugged mountains, dark skies and the Rio Grande set the stage for an unforgettable creative experience.

Founders

Alan and I first met along a trail in Grand Teton National Park, where a simple gear swap while photographing moose sparked a friendship that has grown over the years. Countless meetups in national parks and hometown visits led us to a realization—we wanted to create a space where like-minded creatives could connect, collaborate, and recharge in nature.

Parks were once places where those who revered the wild could cross paths, form friendships, and share their passion for the outdoors. But in today’s world, creativity is often overshadowed by competition, deliverables, and constant critique. We wanted to bring together a community that uplifts, supports, and inspires—a space free from pressure, where people can simply create, explore, and learn from one another.

Wild Creative was born out of this vision: a gathering where artists of all kinds—photographers, filmmakers, writers, and painters—can come together in an environment of positive energy and shared passion for wild places. More than just a creative retreat, these meetups also offer a naturalist aspect, helping attendees connect deeper with the landscapes they capture. Whether you’re here to learn, share knowledge, or simply soak in the experience, A Wild Creative Experience is about rekindling the spirit of creativity and community in nature.
